Today marks the anniversary of the founding of the Somali Cooperative Movement Organization (UDHIS), established in 1978.
For 47 years, UDHIS has played an important role in promoting economic growth, improving livelihoods, encouraging cooperation, and strengthening social solidarity across Somali society.
The power of cooperation is the power of the community. Somali cooperatives have long served as an important pillar of unity, self-reliance, and development, demonstrating resilience and commitment to building a better future.
As we celebrate 47 years of history, experience, and impact, let us honor and preserve the legacy of the cooperative movement, strengthen our unity, and continue working together to build a self-reliant society and a stronger, more prosperous economy.
Happy 47th Anniversary to the Somali Cooperative Movement Organization (UDHIS)!
